		<description>Maps are mostly a modern thing. Clearly, Mormon had an idea of where many of the places of which he wrote were located. John Sorenson has discussed this in his book, &lt;em&gt;Mormon&#039;s Map&lt;/em&gt;.

The Nephites used gold and silver as a means of exchange, but they did not have coinage, which was invented about the time Lehi left his homeland to come to America.</description>
